Height Safety for the Workplace

 PivotLoc Folding Ladder System

The aesthetically pleasing ladder solution

PivotLoc is a foldable ladder system with incorporated GlideLoc Fall Arrest Rail.

In the closed position, the rungs pivot together behind the central Guide Rail. This offers an aesthetically pleasing solution and offers controlled access.

When used with the Söll Body Control Traveller the PivotLoc system offers users a safe and confident access solution, which is certified to BS EN 353-1 (2014).

 How it works

The ladder is opened by unlocking and removing the locking bar, then pulling the red ball pull pin and gently pulling on the side handle until the ladder is fully open. Re-insert and lock the locking bar and you are ready to climb.

The GlideLoc Rail uses a shock absorbing travelling device called the “Body Control I” it runs along the track and provides the link between the user’s harness and the system. In the event of a fall the Traveller physically locks onto the track preventing further decent and minimising injury.

In most instances the user can self-rescue simply by releasing the traveller with a slight upward pull as the user climbs.

 MULTIPLE BENEFITS

Offers a reliable fall protection solution for height access and work positioning.
When closed, the ladder can be locked to prevent unauthorised use.
It can be locked in the open position to prevent accidental closure.
Constructed from corrosion resistant anodised aluminium.
In the closed position the wind resistance of the system is at a minimum.
The system has a wide range of fixing solutions, so it can be fixed to most buildings or structures.
Once the side rails have been folded together, the ladder is very discreet (105mm wide). It is ideal for all architectural and planning requirements for an “invisible” height access system.

The PivotLoc system can be used in 3 different designs:

The Pivotloc can span the full length of the height difference, giving a fully discreet system (max full length of PivotLoc is 20m).

The PivotLoc can offer anti-climb used in conjunction with GlideLoc Y-Spar and Twin Ladder Systems as an alternative to a security cover plate. Having a 3m section at the bottom which locks to allow restricted use.

A new addition to the PivotLoc range is the Top Opening PivotLoc ladder. This now allows users to access lower platforms opening the PivotLoc from the top of the ladder.

 GlideLoc Top Extension

This allows the user to be stood on the top rung of the ladder while still being connected to the fall arrest rail. This also includes an EN 795 tested eyebolt to allow the user continuous connection.

 Rotary Top Exit Section

This works similarly to the 1m top extension allowing the user to stand on the top rung. The top 350mm of the Rotary Top Exit Section rotates 180° with the user as they step on to the roof top.

 Twisted Change-over Rail

Like the 1m top extension but instead of extending vertically the fall arrest rail bends on to the roof top. As the user steps on to the roof his Traveller follows the Guide Rail, resulting in continuous connection until the user is a safe distance away from the fall risk.
